Why?

There are a thousand “Why” questions: “Why are you making this blog, why do you want to go to NCSSM”, “Why are you asking yourself questions in the second person”.

Well, I’ll answer them in reverse order, and keep in mind; I’m going to keep out some stuff until I get in. Can’t be giving my competitors the advantage. Then I’d have made this blog for nothing.

Don’t worry. I hope I’ll get in. And that’s reassuring to neither of us.

1) I’m asking myself questions in the second person because I’m pretending to be you. And I’m mildly insane. I’m sure that’ll help me get in.

2) Why go to NCSSM? I don’t know. I always wanted to; at first, cause my parents told me to because of the college voucher(they used to pay for you to go to any college in the UNC system. That’s been discontinued). * temporarily censored, sorry my fellow hopefuls, you aren’t boxing me out * and also because I want to know I’m brilliant. People who I’m smarter than tell me I’m brilliant, people I’m stupider than think I’m stupid. And I personally want to believe that the first group is right, and everyone(more or less) agrees that the kids over at Science and Math are brilliant. Ergo, if I get in, I will be brilliant. Don’t follow? You must not be brilliant.
I’m teasing, of course. I’m sure you are, but just so we can measure up, my SAT score is * censored *. Had you there for a moment, didn’t I?

3) I made this blog because I spend every free second, and some seconds I should spend doing homework, online, looking for NCSSM related… well, anything. And there are some blogs. But they don’t start back this far. So, when I get in, I’ll fill in the blanks. And it’ll provide a future me something to look at for a few minutes.

Plus, this’ll help me. And let the other applicants know there are other crazy kids out there too. I’m just smarter than them.

“Yeah, keep telling yourself that.”

See you on the inside. Science and Math, get ready. Cause I want this.
